ARIORI DUO
Based in the London and Essex region, violinist Melinda Blackman and cellist James Greenfield enjoy playing a wide variety of music together. From classical and folk to tango and pop, they will provide the perfect entertainment for your wedding or event.

Violin
Melinda studied the violin at the Junior Royal Academy of Music before attending King's College London to complete her BMus(Hons) degree. While at university she studied the violin with Susan Collier at the Royal Academy of Music and was awarded a Licentiate of the Royal Schools of Music Diploma in violin performance. She has since performed a number of concertos with orchestras and is involved in many orchestras and ensembles.
James studied at the Royal College of Music and Trinity Laban Conservatoire of Music and Dance. He has played chamber music all around the world including concert tours of Europe, China and the US.
He is a regular guest on the television programme Dave Gorman’s 'Modern Life is Goodish' with the Billroth Ensemble and has worked for recordings and performances with Rick Wakeman, The Puppini Sisters and X factor.

Academy and Children's Parties
One of Melinda and James' goals is to inspire young people to experience the joy of music through string playing. Play Strings offers entertainment at children's parties. Their party packages are filled with fun games, stories and educational activities to provide the perfect entertainment at children's events. Play String's Academy offers regular tuition in violin, viola and cello alongside group theory, orchestra and ensemble courses.
